Deel launches AI-powered global assistant 'Deel IQ' for HR insights
Thu, 19th Oct 2023

Deel, the all-in-one HR platform for global teams, has extended its reach in artificial intelligence (AI) with the launching of Deel IQ. This new global work assistant allows companies, right from small start-ups to larger enterprises, to gain dependable global HR insights at their fingertips. New Zealand businesses like LetterBoxd, LawVu, Crimson Education, TradeWindow and Non-Fungible Labs that are Deel customers can now benefit from these services.

Deel IQ is powered by AI, specifically OpenAI's ChatGPT. It also taps into Deel's Global Knowledge Base, which consists of information from a 200-strong internal team of HR professionals and legal experts. These resources transform Deel IQ into a single hub of compliance information, turning any organisation into a global HR expert.

Businesses utilising Deel IQ will have direct access to data on local laws and best practices from over 150 countries across the world. This information is sourced from Deel’s Knowledge Base, thereby assisting enterprises in regulatory compliance for every employee, irrespective of their geographical location.

Moreover, companies can extract rapid, actionable data like total employee-related costs or the number of employees possessing certain skills, using input from their own Deel platform data. By analysing this workforce data, businesses can generate immediate reports, thereby obtaining valuable insights without resorting to dated, spreadsheet-based reporting methods.

"Businesses can effortlessly access reliable global HR information from Deel, plus insights that are sourced from their own workforce data", says Shannon Karaka, Country Leader and Head of Expansion, Australia and New Zealand, Deel. "Now, all business leaders and HR teams need to do is ask the relevant questions, and they can tap into the information they need to make well-informed hiring decisions."

"Deel already provides businesses around the world with the tools and confidence they need to find skills and grow in other countries," says Karaka. "Deel IQ helps employers prevent further missteps when it comes to global hiring and employee management."

Expanding on its features, Deel IQ also offers insights into contract and invoice data while providing security through multiple protective layers. Access to both the AI and the database is strictly limited to Deel’s Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, thus ensuring that data isn't publicly shared. An access control mechanism also ensures that data access is granted exclusively to users with suitable permissions.

Currently, Deel IQ is available in beta for Deel customers. Businesses can trial this by enrolling in the beta launch.
