Ecommpay grows processing volume 25% with new payment options
Ecommpay has reported a 25% year-on-year increase in processing volume for 2024, alongside growth in transaction volume and notable improvements in acceptance rates.
Ecommpay said the expansion of its alternative payment methods, additional commercial partnerships, and revised brand positioning were key factors behind this growth. The company's global payments platform registered a 19% increase in transaction volume, and merchants using the infrastructure experienced an 8% rise in acceptance rates during the same period.
Arturs Gocs, Chief Operational Officer at Ecommpay, described the past year as a period of development for the company's operations and services. He said: "2024 was an exciting year at Ecommpay. We strengthened our team's professional skill set while deepening key partnerships and enriching the range of cutting-edge payment solutions we deliver. By blending intelligent automation with expert human oversight, we have accelerated our speed and capacity without losing the personal touch our clients value. Our research into checkout pain points for merchants and consumers alike has already informed new features and services, ensuring we stay ahead of evolving customer expectations and continue to fuel meaningful growth.
"We are in a strong position to continue disrupting the payments marketplace, standing out from the crowd with our accessible and inclusive payments platform and growing the suite of payment methods and solutions to suit any business and its end customer."
During 2024, Ecommpay introduced a new website and payments platform, which underwent rigorous accessibility testing by the Digital Accessibility Centre. This process ensured the platform's compatibility for users with visual and hearing impairment, as well as cognitive and physical disabilities.
The company also launched 'Ecommpay for Good', an inclusivity programme aimed at providing merchants with tools and guidance for enhancing digital accessibility. The initiative includes the Guide to Digital Accessibility to help businesses make their own platforms more accessible.
Ecommpay further expanded its payment options in 2024, introducing Mastercard Click to Pay, Bacs and SEPA Direct Debit, PayPal subscription payments, and Payouts via Hosted Payment Page. The platform increased its alternative payment methods to over 100.
The company secured new commercial partnerships and received multiple industry awards over the year. Its clients and their customers benefited from a streamlined payout experience, including instant access to preferred cards on mobile devices, a simplified checkout process, and reduced time to completion.
Bacs and SEPA Direct Debits, along with PayPal subscription payments, allowed Ecommpay to offer streamlined options for recurring payments. These solutions aim to reduce resource requirements and simplify cash flow management for both businesses and consumers.
