Eylex has been appointed exclusive distributor for INVISIO's tactical communications and hearing protection systems in Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement expands Eylex's role in the regional defence and public safety communications market.

Under the arrangement, Eylex will distribute INVISIO's full range of tactical communications, hearing protection and systems integration products across both countries. It will also provide systems integration, technical support, servicing and warranty support for customers in Australia and New Zealand.

The appointment adds to Eylex's existing work in mission-critical communications and follows its acquisition by GME, an Australian manufacturer of radio frequency communications technology. GME has operated in the sector for more than 60 years, and Eylex said the combination brings that manufacturing and engineering base together with INVISIO's communications products.

The deal also builds on Eylex's earlier relationship with Racal Acoustics, now part of the INVISIO Group. Eylex has represented Racal Acoustics in Australia and New Zealand since 2003.

Defence and public safety agencies in both countries have been increasing investment in communications systems as part of broader modernisation programs. The new distribution arrangement gives INVISIO customers in the region access to local technical assistance, servicing and warranty support through Eylex's domestic network.

Regional support

Eylex will take responsibility for in-country support functions that are often central to procurement decisions in defence and emergency services markets. These include system integration within customer environments, as well as after-sales support.

Simon Coates, General Manager of Eylex, described the appointment as an important step for the business.

"This expanded partnership significantly strengthens the capabilities and support we can deliver to the Defence and Public Safety sectors across Australia and New Zealand," Coates said.

"It positions us to support the industries' evolving requirements over the coming decade, combining proven global technology with local integration, servicing and technical expertise to help build more connected, resilient and integrated forces."

The agreement broadens INVISIO's route to market in Australia and New Zealand by placing its full portfolio with a distributor that already has an established presence in the sector.

Mathias Rosvall, VP of Sales & Marketing at INVISIO, pointed to Eylex's experience in the regional defence market through its work with Racal Acoustics.

"Eylex has built a strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand defence markets through its longstanding representation of Racal Acoustics," Rosvall said.

"By appointing Eylex as our exclusive in-country distributor, we are bringing together INVISIO's complete portfolio with a partner that understands the operational needs of customers in the region."

Market backdrop

The agreement comes as the Australian and New Zealand governments place greater emphasis on domestic support arrangements for defence equipment, including servicing, sustainment and local technical expertise. For overseas suppliers, distribution partnerships with local operators can help meet those requirements while giving customers a single in-country contact for support.

Eylex operates across defence and emergency services communications and is part of the GME Group. Its activities include supplying products and services for mission-critical environments, supported by engineering, manufacturing and training functions in the region.

INVISIO supplies communications and hearing protection systems used in defence and public safety settings. Its products are designed for environments where users need to maintain communications in high-noise conditions while protecting their hearing.

By combining local distribution and support with INVISIO's product range, the arrangement gives Eylex a larger role in the tactical communications segment in Australia and New Zealand. It also strengthens INVISIO's local presence through a partner with an existing customer base, engineering support structure and experience in specialist communications systems.

The partnership covers Defence and Public Safety customers across both markets, with Eylex responsible for systems integration, technical assistance, servicing and warranty support.
