Gallagher boosts training team with new instructional designers
James Robinson and Toni Fisher have joined Gallagher Security in their roles as Senior Instructional Designer and Instructional Designer respectively. Based at the firm's Global Headquarters in Hamilton, New Zealand, their focus will be on enhancing training and enablement initiatives for Gallagher's Channel Partners and End Users.
Robinson brings over 12 years of experience in instructional design, particularly within the public sector. "I am genuinely impressed by Gallagher's success in establishing a global brand right here in Hamilton. Since joining the company, I've witnessed some innovative initiatives to unlock new possibilities for Channel Partners and End Users," he said. "My ultimate goal is to make our training programs more engaging, interactive, and relevant for all learners, regardless of their experience level, empowering them with the tools they need."
Fisher has a strong background in visual design and aims to make technical information more accessible through engaging content delivery. "Through scenario-based learning and the incorporation of contextual elements, I aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice," Fisher stated. "Empowering our Channel Partners and End Users to better understand our hardware and software is a key objective."
The arrival of Robinson and Fisher is part of Gallagher's broader effort to bolster its training capabilities. Scott Bell, the company's Training Solutions Lead, emphasised the importance of their roles in achieving this aim. "We have ambitious goals to deliver the best learning experiences," Bell said. He noted recent developments such as the launch of Virtual Classroom and Augmented Reality platforms, aimed at providing immersive and interactive learning experiences. "James and Toni's dedication to learner-centric design will be instrumental in helping us achieve those goals. It's a really exciting time to be in the training space."
Gallagher Security has received industry accolades for its innovative security solutions, and the expansion of its training team reflects a commitment to not just developing cutting-edge technology, but also ensuring that users can maximise the benefits of these advancements through effective training.
