Insurance veteran Dave Pratt joins TNEDICCA's board
Dave Pratt, a longstanding veteran of Progressive Insurance with more than three decades of experience, has joined the board of TNEDICCA.
Known as a leader in traffic crash data and location risk analytics, TNEDICCA anticipates Pratt's extensive knowledge in insurances to invigorate product innovation and market penetration.
Throughout his career at Progressive, Pratt served in diverse roles. He notably acted as the General Manager of Snapshot, Progressive's usage-based insurance telematics business.
Additionally, he was the President and CEO of ARX Holding Co., Progressive's homeowners insurance subsidiary. Within these capacities, Pratt established a successful direct-to-consumer distribution channel, propelling company revenue from $1 billion to $2.8 billion.
Elaborating on his forthcoming role, Dave Pratt commented, "TNEDICCA's unique data assets offer auto insurers first-of-its-kind location risk solutions to the industry that is near and dear to my heart."
Pratt further added that TNEDICCA's data-driven approach uniquely allows insurers to provide more competitive pricing to drivers steering clear of dangerous zones. "This results in savings for the customer and profitable growth for the insurance company. I am excited to join TNEDICCA's board, guiding TNEDICCA on its entrepreneurial journey."
Yiem Sunbhanich, CEO and co-founder of TNEDICCA, expressed his delight in welcoming Pratt on board. "Dave is a proven leader with an established track record and outstanding reputation in the insurance industry," said Sunbhanich.
He lauds Pratt's extensive experience in new product development, market segmentation, and strategy as potential boosters for propelling TNEDICCA's mission forward. The firm's goal, he explains, is to reduce traffic accidents through better employment of data and analytics.
TNEDICCA's Board Chair, Chris McKay, also shared his enthusiasm for Pratt's appointment to the board. "We are thrilled to welcome Dave, as he brings a wealth of experience and visionary leadership," McKay said. He anticipates Pratt's contribution to enable them to shape the strategic course of TNEDICCA positively.
Prior to his renowned career at Progressive, Pratt was a consultant at Bain & Co. in Boston. He holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Duke University, coupled with a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Through its pioneering approach in employing crash location data models, TNEDICCA is focused on reshaping the future of auto insurances. The TNEDICCA Road Risk Scores offer auto insurers an enhanced perception of risk, considering where a vehicle is driven.
Complemented by the leadership of accomplished insurance experts like Dave Pratt, TNEDICCA aspires to diminish future road accidents using their location-based data and predictive analytics.
