IRIS names Jens Ulrik Knudsen & Shemin Nurmohamed to lead growth
IRIS Software Group has made two senior appointments to support its expansion plans, naming Jens Ulrik Knudsen as Chief Financial Officer and Shemin Nurmohamed as President and General Manager for the Americas. The new executives will be responsible for financial leadership and driving business growth in the North American market, a region identified as a strategic priority for the firm.
Financial leadership
Jens Ulrik Knudsen brings two decades of experience in financial management for companies experiencing rapid growth. He was most recently Interim Group CFO at Aceve, a SaaS business backed by private equity. In that role, Knudsen worked with the chief executive to upgrade the company's finance operations, helped establish structures for acquisitions, and managed a period of rapid commercial growth. He also held the position of CFO at Globus Wine, where he oversaw a major financial and strategic transformation to improve profitability.
At IRIS, Knudsen will be responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy and overseeing daily financial operations. His remit includes ensuring that investment continues in the company's software capabilities, while supporting efforts to grow the company's customer base worldwide.
North America growth
Shemin Nurmohamed has been appointed to lead IRIS's business in North America as President and General Manager, Americas. With a career spanning over 25 years in technology and SaaS companies, Nurmohamed will be tasked with accelerating the company's growth in the region. Prior to joining IRIS, she was President of Sending Technology Solutions at Pitney Bowes, overseeing a USD $1.3 billion division. Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years at IBM in EMEA, including time as CFO for IBM Systems, and held a variety of finance and operational roles.
Nurmohamed's role includes a focus on improving customer experience and developing products suited to the requirements of North American clients. The company sees the Americas as a key driver for future growth and expects Nurmohamed's experience to contribute to its position in the region.
Transition planning
The company acknowledged the contributions of Michael Cox, the outgoing CFO, and Jim Dunham, who is stepping down as President and General Manager, North America. Cox held the finance chief position for seven years and played a part in the company's global expansion. Dunham leaves after three years, during which he led the early phase of IRIS's North American growth. Knudsen and Nurmohamed are expected to work closely with their predecessors to support a stable leadership transition for both employees and customers.
Executive perspective
"These appointments mark a pivotal moment for IRIS as we accelerate our growth ambitions. Jens brings the financial rigor and strategic discipline to fuel sustainable, profitable growth. Shemin's proven track record in transforming customer experience will be instrumental as we scale our presence across North America. Together, they strengthen our leadership team as we drive the next chapter of IRIS, one that is focused on delivering exceptional value to the customers we serve," said Jason Dies, CEO, IRIS Software Group.
