Mainstream selects Datapay for payroll transformation in NZ
Mainstream has announced the selection of Datapay as its local payroll provider to enhance its payroll efficiency and compliance measures.
The New Zealand-based freight and logistics provider opted for Datapay as its current payroll system is approaching the end of its operational life. Mainstream aims to maintain its reputation for delivering efficient logistics services by adopting a payroll system that aligns with its standards of service and operational excellence.
Dave Eagleton, Payroll Manager at Mainstream, explained, "One of the key reasons we selected Datapay is its date-driven system. This feature allows us to schedule and automate future payroll changes, such as child support notices, without the need for constant manual intervention. Previously, we had to wait until the current pay cycle was closed before implementing new requests, often resulting in a backlog of paperwork and file notes."
Ross Fodie, General Manager Sales for Datapay & Core Platforms ANZ at Datacom, highlighted Datapay's focus on customer-centric functional improvements. "Date-driven capability is a great example, providing significant savings in time and processing," he said.
Datapay's cloud-based enterprise payroll platform was a decisive factor for Mainstream due to its ability to automatically update with any legislative and tax changes, thereby conforming to New Zealand laws like the New Zealand Holidays Act. This automation negates the necessity for manual installation of support packs and conducting tests, representing a time-saving solution for the company.
Mainstream will also be implementing iDt's biotime, a New Zealand-centric time and attendance solution. This solution offers clock-in and clock-out functionalities and integrates smoothly with Datapay, ensuring streamlined staff processes from time and attendance tracking, incorporating facial recognition, to payroll processing.
The integration of Datapay and biotime underscores Mainstream's commitment to employing advanced technology to boost operational efficiency and compliance with New Zealand regulations.
