New platform promises human-centric hiring revolution
Job Matched, a new recruitment platform, has been launched by tech start-up founder Kayla Parry, aiming to transform the recruitment process for both job seekers and employers.
The recruitment industry faces criticism for being outdated, with job seekers often overwhelmed by irrelevant postings and employers frustrated by high turnover rates due to poor cultural fits. Kayla Parry, founder of Job Matched, addressed these concerns in the unveiling of her new platform. She said, "The recruitment industry is stuck in the past. Job seekers are drowning in irrelevant listings, while employers waste time and money hiring the wrong people. Job Matched flips the script by prioritising personality, culture fit and soft skills alongside qualifications. We're not just matching skills—we're matching people."
Job Matched leverages technology, combining a swipe-based interface commonly found in dating apps with artificial intelligence to match candidates with jobs based on compatibility in skills, personality, values, and cultural fit. Parry emphasised the platform's holistic approach, noting, "This is just the beginning. We're not just building an app, we're building a movement and creating a future where everyone finds work that doesn't just pay the bills—it fulfills them."
The service aims to ease the recruiting process by providing candidates with auto-generated résumés and streamlining portfolio uploads. For employers, it offers an AI-powered Suitable Candidates Feature, which identifies potential candidates who match job profiles, even if they have not applied, thus reducing the time and resources traditionally spent on recruitment.
Employers will benefit from detailed candidate profiles, including video introductions and comprehensive résumés, via an Ad Management Dashboard that allows for customisation of job postings. Job Matched offers multiple subscription tiers designed to be affordable and scalable for businesses of different sizes.
Parry's ambition is for Job Matched to significantly impact the USD $868 billion recruitment industry. The platform is available to job posters and employers through a custom-built web portal, with apps for iOS and Android scheduled to follow at the end of May, enabling job seekers to engage with this new approach to recruitment.
The introduction of Job Matched represents Parry's latest initiative in her career as a tech entrepreneur. She has spoken openly about her experiences in overcoming initial scepticism and rejection from investors while developing this platform. Her personal story further informs her advocacy for women entering male-dominated tech sectors and entrepreneurship.
Job Matched distinguishes itself by focusing on human connection and cultural fit, and in doing so, aims to provide a solution for both employer and job seeker dissatisfaction with current recruitment practices. As businesses look to optimise their hiring strategies, the platform's AI capabilities could redefine the recruitment process for better alignment and satisfaction in workplace environments.
Parry's vision extends beyond mere technological advancement, calling for a more human-centric hiring experience. As she remarked, "We're not just matching skills—we're matching people."
