Sharon White has been announced as the newly appointed AVP of Next Generation Data, Analytics and AI for Australia and New Zealand by HCLTech, a major international technology company. This appointment underlines HCLTech's significant capabilities in the local and global data and AI sectors.

White brings with her a wealth of experience, having over 25 years' hands-on experience in the data industry across both Europe and APAC. She honed her skills with client-facing roles in Enterprise Information Management, Business Intelligence, Data, Analytics and IT transformation, working with global and local organisations.

Her newly carved out role will see her centring her focus on strengthening HCLTech's footprint across the enterprises and government sections of Australia and New Zealand. The end goal being to harness more comprehensive insights using data and AI, and so provide better outcomes for both organisations and customers. White's appointment comes hot on the heels of Sonia Eland being named as the Executive Vice President and Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand from HCLTech as part of the company's strategic objectives in the region.

Eland commented on the appointment, stating, "Digital transformation doesn't happen without data and analytics, but AI is the technology that will take this transformation to the next level. HCLTech already has significant AI capabilities but Sharon's appointment will strengthen HCLTech's position, allowing us to better advise businesses at a time of immense change and opportunity. We're thrilled to have Sharon join the team and help us scale our data, analytics, and AI consultancy capabilities within the region."

White expressed her enthusiasm about her new position, saying, "Bringing together data, analytics and AI allows us to build more robust data architecture and define a new blueprint that will help businesses remain competitive in an age of disruption. AI technologies are playing an increasingly significant role in our day to day lives, from our groceries to our banking. I'm excited to be joining HCLTech to lead this offering, using data to change the world, ethically and with integrity."

HCLTech has been providing its services in Australia and New Zealand since 1999 and boasts more than 2,400 employees across the two countries. The company is regarded as an industry leader, delivering capabilities centred around digital services, engineering, and cloud technology across a wide range of verticals globally.
