Simon Noonan joins MYOB as new Chief Technology Officer

Tue, 16th Apr 2024

MYOB has announced its latest appointment, Simon Noonan, who will join the team as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This addition to their leadership team falls in line with MYOB's ongoing mission to improve their services and streamline innovation.

In his capacity as CTO, Noonan's role will primarily be to guide the technological vision of MYOB and ensure the execution of its tech function. The aim is to leverage both foundational and cutting-edge technology to create more engaging, positive experiences for both the business customers and partners of MYOB.

Noonan has proven his mettle in the field, demonstrating great prowess and expertise in the tech industry. He was the Chief Information Officer at Sportsbet, where he led notable digital transformations of the business and helped expand the tech function and teams. Further, he has even held several significant leadership roles at ANZ, overseeing technology delivery and management of the business's internet and mobile platform.

CEO Paul Robson expressed his delight over Noonan's appointment, stating, "I'm delighted to welcome Simon to the MYOB team." He also commended the existing team's dedication to driving innovation across the business while also elevating the customer experience. In the end, there was a special mention of Darren Smith thanking him for his role in leading technology development during MYOB's transformative years.

Noonan, too, sounded equally thrilled about his new journey with MYOB. He stated, "The vision and opportunity to scale at MYOB captured my attention from the very beginning." He looks forward to accelerating the pace of innovation in service of MYOB's customers and partners in Australia and New Zealand, contributing to the ongoing digitisation for small and medium businesses.

He pointed out that MYOB, with its strong technological base servicing key business workflows, is in a favourable position to facilitate this digitisation. Noonan will assume his new position in June and will operate out of Melbourne.

This announcement demonstrates MYOB's commitment to building a strong leadership team to enhance its services for businesses across Australia and New Zealand. As they welcome the insights and expertise that Noonan brings to the table, the company looks set for an acceleration in their pace of innovation and improvement of their customer experience.
