Binance teams up with Gasly for fan-designed F1 helmet

Yesterday

Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange globally, has announced a collaboration with Pierre Gasly, BWT Alpine's Formula One driver, to engage fans in designing his helmet for the upcoming Australian Grand Prix.

This initiative follows a successful helmet design contest for the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which drew over 700 entries from fans. The current collaboration allows fans and Binance users to submit their designs for a chance to win a signed, full-sized replica helmet, among other exclusive prizes.

The winner's design will be used by Pierre Gasly during the Australian Grand Prix race weekend, creating a lasting impression as part of the event. Prizes for the contest include an exclusive virtual meet-and-greet with Gasly, a signed replica helmet, and a race day experience at the winner's local Grand Prix.

Submissions for the helmet design must be made before January 20, 2025, with the winner announced prior to the Australian Grand Prix, set for early March. The contest invites participants to create designs that reflect Binance's values, which are integral to fostering connections within the motorsport community.

Pierre Gasly expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "Bringing together the spirit of the crypto and F1 community is truly electrifying and I'm honoured to bring crypto education to fans through Binance. Our previous helmet contest for the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was an incredible showcase of community-focused energy and creativity. I had the chance to meet the winner and I'm excited to see how fans channel their inspirations for the Australian Grand Prix – We have some exciting plans to reveal the winning design at the start of race week, so stay tuned!"

Rachel Conlan, Binance Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the innovation brought to the fans, stating, "Formula One fans are among the most passionate and engaged globally, and through innovation, we're able to bring a new level of dynamism to fan engagement. With our partnership with Pierre and BWT Alpine Formula One, we are excited to continue bringing F1 fans closer to them through our efforts, including this latest helmet contest."

Sarah Dale, Binance Global Head of Partnerships, remarked on the melding of crypto and Formula One, stating, "We're excited to once again see the powerful connections between the worlds of crypto and F1 through this helmet contest. Pierre embodies the perfect blend of both worlds, and as he prepares for the season-opener in Australia, fans have the chance to be part of history at the start of the 2025 race season."

Pierre Gasly's involvement with Binance also extends to a four-part video series aimed at debunking myths around cryptocurrency. The series covers topics such as security, real-world applications, and the benefits of Web3, providing fans with entertaining and educational content.
