Epicor Software Corporation, a provider of industry-specific enterprise software to promote business growth, has today announced a significant addition to the company's executive team.

Paul Stoddart has been appointed chief marketing officer, a role in which he will be responsible for overseeing Epicor's global marketing strategy, including corporate marketing, field marketing, and teleprospecting.

“With the addition of a seasoned leader like Paul to our talented global management team, we are confident that Epicor is ready for its next step,” says Epicor CEO, Steve Murphy.

“Paul brings a perfect mix of organisational leadership, client service experience and digital expertise that we're looking for to significantly increase the effectiveness of our sales efforts, partnerships and channels.

Stoddart brings more than two decades of marketing experience leading global technology giants.

In his most recent role as vice president and partner at IBM, he enabled clients to navigate the shift in business models to adapt to changing consumer attitudes, behaviours, and preferences.

Before that, he served as vice president of marketing at Providence Health - Services where he spearheaded brand strategy and architecture.

Prior to Providence Health - Services, Stoddart was senior director, head of advertising and media, strategic and competitive projects at Microsoft where he led the transformation of the company's approach to competitive and strategic positioning.

“I am thrilled to join Epicor's leadership team, and am even more excited about the continuous innovations the company is bringing to thousands of cloud and on-premises customers around the world,” says Stoddart.

“I look forward to making contributions towards fuelled growth for Epicor and our customers globally.

The appointment comes only a month after Epicor announced the launch of its Community Care solution, a holistic software system with the primary aim of aiding in-home services for aged care providers.

This solution came as part of a wider platform within the company, the Epicor Senior Living Solution (SLS), targeted at providers, clients and partners in the aged-care industry.

According to Epicor, the solution provides a mobile-ready way for organisations to manage field staff and for field staff to manage on the ground operations.

From identification to closure, the solution covers all areas of in-home or community care and can be used on any compatible device.

“The interaction between care worker and client is instrumental in providing good outcomes,” says Epicor regional vice president ANZ Greg OLoan.

“Making sure clients get the services they need, when they need them, from their preferred supplier can make a huge difference to the quality of care experienced by the client.
