Google Payment New Zealand reported a modest increase in profit and revenue for 2025, supported by higher transaction processing income and growth in related-party service activity.

The company, which performs transaction processing services in New Zealand on behalf of entities within the broader Google and Alphabet group, recorded revenue of NZD $4.73 million for the year ended 31 December 2025, up from NZD $4.24 million a year earlier. Revenue increased by approximately 11.6%.

Profit before income tax rose slightly to NZD $434,548 from NZD $432,455 in 2024. Net profit after tax increased to NZD $312,841 from NZD $311,387.

The results show a business generating steady earnings growth while continuing to operate primarily as an internal service provider within the Alphabet corporate structure.

Revenue growth

Google Payment New Zealand derives its income from transaction processing services provided to related entities within the Alphabet group. The company recognises revenue as services are delivered under intercompany agreements.

Revenue from the provision of services increased by NZD $490,285 during the year. The growth reflected higher activity levels under those service arrangements.

Related-party disclosures show service revenue generated from other Alphabet group entities totalled NZD $4.73 million in 2025, compared with NZD $4.24 million in the previous year.

The company stated that its principal activity remains the provision of transaction processing services in New Zealand on behalf of Google Asia Pacific.

Profit stability

Cost of providing services and administrative expenses increased to NZD $4.29 million from NZD $3.81 million. Despite rising operating costs, revenue growth enabled the company to maintain profitability.

Gross profit was NZD $434,548, broadly unchanged from NZD $432,455 a year earlier. Profit before tax matched gross profit because the company recorded no additional operating profit adjustments.

Income tax expense totalled NZD $121,707, compared with NZD $121,068 in 2024. This left the net profit marginally higher year-on-year.

Bank-related charges remained the company's largest disclosed expense category at NZD $5.38 million, compared with NZD $5.29 million in the prior year. Interest income declined to NZD $1.14 million from NZD $1.60 million.

Asset growth

Total assets increased to NZD $45.8 million at the end of 2025 from NZD $40.7 million a year earlier. The increase was driven largely by growth in loans and borrowings due from related parties.

Loans to related parties rose to NZD $43.0 million from NZD $38.2 million. The balances are linked to the company's participation in an Alphabet intragroup cash pooling programme.

Trade and other receivables increased to NZD $2.79 million from NZD $2.53 million. Receivables from third-party payment processors represented the largest component of those balances.

Net assets increased to NZD $1.65 million from NZD $1.34 million, while retained earnings rose to NZD $1.59 million from NZD $1.28 million.

Cash flows

Operating activities generated a net cash inflow of NZD $3.69 million during the year, compared with NZD $5.01 million in 2024. The decline reflected lower interest income and working capital movements.

The company used NZD $4.83 million for loans to related parties during the year. Interest received from those arrangements totalled NZD $1.14 million.

Google Payment New Zealand reported no dividends for 2025 and stated that no dividends were declared after the reporting date.

The company also reported no significant changes in its operations during the year and no material events after the balance sheet date.
