Kordia appoints Willo Chapman Head of Sales for cyber & cloud
Kordia has named Willo Chapman as its new Head of Sales for Cyber, Cloud and Connectivity, in a move aimed at accelerating its digital services strategy for organisations in New Zealand.
Chapman will lead Kordia's specialist sales teams across all areas of telecommunications, cloud, and cyber security managed services, as well as consulting services under the Aura Information Security brand.
In addition to these responsibilities, Chapman will supervise the Client Lead team, which focuses on growing new and existing customer accounts in the organisation's core service areas.
Role and reporting
Chapman will report directly to Glen White, Executive General Manager - Cyber, Cloud and Connectivity. His remit includes supporting Kordia's ambition to be regarded as a trusted partner for organisations undertaking digital transformation or facing challenges related to technology complexity and emerging cyber threats. He is based in Auckland.
Glen White said the appointment was an important step for Kordia's ability to adapt to market changes.
"We're delighted to welcome Willo to Kordia. He brings more than two decades of experience leading high-performing enterprise sales teams and delivering complex technology solutions that drive real outcomes for customers. His expertise across cloud, security and connectivity - along with his customer-centric leadership style - makes him an excellent fit for the role and for Kordia's culture," says White.
Chapman's background
Chapman has built a career spanning over 20 years in the technology sector, both in New Zealand and the UK. Most recently, he led sales in the ASEAN region for Harness, an enterprise DevOps platform, where he was responsible for expanding new business opportunities and developing partner relationships.
Prior to Harness, Chapman was APAC Sales Leader for IriusRisk, leading the strategy to launch and expand the company's presence in the region's market.
Chapman said he looks forward to helping customers navigate cloud adoption and strengthen cyber resilience at a time of increasing demand for expert guidance.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Kordia and leading a talented sales team focused on helping customers succeed. Kordia's commitment to innovation and delivering customer value really resonates with me. I'm looking forward to working alongside our specialist teams to create solutions that enable customers to securely modernise their operations and achieve great outcomes," says Chapman.
Reshaping service delivery
Kordia recently merged its connectivity, cloud, and cyber teams to better address customer needs as businesses continue to embrace cloud-based operations. Advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence and an evolving cyber threat landscape are driving organisations to seek integrated solutions that offer security, agility, and flexibility for the future.
This reorganisation enables Kordia to offer expertise across the full spectrum of digital infrastructure, from core network systems through to secure cloud platforms and managed security services, supported by local customer service teams.
New appointment in client management
As part of these changes, Despi Neal has been appointed to the new role of Client Management Lead, reporting to Chapman. Neal brings significant experience in sales management, having spent the previous two years at Devoli and holding senior positions at Pareto and Adecco.
Based in Auckland, Neal will oversee the activities of Kordia's Client Managers, with an emphasis on building stronger customer relationships and supporting long-term value for clients.
