Verizon Connect & vWork partner to enhance fleet delivery

Tue, 1st Apr 2025

Verizon Connect and vWork have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing the delivery experience for fleet businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

This collaboration integrates Verizon Connect's fleet management solutions with vWork's job scheduling and dispatch capabilities, offering businesses a comprehensive approach to improve their delivery operations. The combined solution is designed to provide real-time visibility into vehicles and driver behaviour, as well as improved route optimisation, job scheduling, dispatch management, and compliance features.

Paul Miller, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Verizon Connect, explained the motivation behind the partnership, stating, "We've partnered with vWork to address the pain points of fleet managers, such as meeting customer demands, competitive pressures, and inefficiencies in scheduling and dispatching."

Meanwhile, vWork CEO Roy Moody highlighted the benefits of the collaboration, expressing, "Integrating Verizon Connect with vWork's job scheduling and dispatch solution will enable both businesses to deliver an exponentially greater service to Verizon Connect customers. Dispatchers will have a single, real-time view of field activities with real-time communication between dispatchers, drivers, and customers."

The partnership allows Verizon Connect users to utilise vWork's template-driven scheduling. This enables customisation of the delivery experience, supported by proof-of-delivery with time-stamped photos and seamless integration with accounts for timely invoicing.

Scott McLeod, Managing Director of McLeod Cranes, shared his experience with vWork, noting, "Looking back I can't believe what a transformation vWork is making. We can now spend more time connecting with our customers and understanding their needs. This new level of connection is really powerful."

According to Verizon Connect's 2025 Fleet Technology Trends Report Australia, GPS tracking technology is now used by 75% of Australian fleets. Furthermore, 82% of surveyed fleet managers and industry professionals found GPS tracking to be "very" or "extremely" beneficial, while 67% reported significant cost savings.
